Polaris has taken the wraps off the new Slingshot Grand Touring LE.
Designed to provide “next-level comfort, style and design,” the
limited edition is distinguished by an exclusive Fairway Green exterior
with contrasting bronze accents and special bronze wheels.
Since the model was designed to be the ultimate cruiser, it has also
been equipped with a larger wind deflector and a color-matching
Slingshade roof. The Grand Touring LE also has a green and bronze rear
fender that partially covers the 20-inch rear wheel.
Moving into the cabin, drivers will find gloss black trim, accent
lighting and quilted comfort seats with bronze accents. There’s also a
Rockford Fosgate audio system and a 7-inch infotainment system with GPS
navigation.
For a little under $1,200, customers can order the order the
Slingshot’s new heated and cooled seats. They’re a little on the pricey
side, but the model doesn’t have a climate control system so they might
be a worthwhile upgrade.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 178
hp (133 kW / 180 PS). It is connected to the company’s AutoDrive
transmission which is a five-speed automated manual.
For an additional $599.99, customers can order a Stage 1 performance
package. It features an optimized engine calibration which enables the
four-cylinder to produce 203 hp (151 kW / 206 PS).
According to Polaris Slingshot Vice President Chris Sergeant, “With
superior comfort, convenient technology, and head-turning styling, the
Grand Touring LE transforms daily driving into unforgettable
adventures.”
The model is currently headed to dealerships and production will be limited to less than 300 units. Pricing starts at $33,999.
