Edge of Tomorrow Exclusive Triumph Thruxton

Tom Cruise stars in the si-fi military blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow boosting through the streets of London on a one of a kind Triumph Thruxton. Customized exclusively for the film, the bike features a one-off-matte finish paint scheme. The film was released June 6th 2014 with DVD and Blu-ray release dates expected in October.

Although you won't find a bike quite like the one on the big screen, all Thruxtons are unique. Inspired by the London cafe race scene (circa 1960's) Thruxton's were tweaked by riders to maximize speed & sharpen handling. Dropped bars, single seats, and upswept exhaust are staples of the bike.

The Thruxtons movie star looks resemble the classic bikes used by the cafe racers. They often self-modified there bikes to handle and preform on the city streets. Triumph has captured the look by integrating some of the most popular styling details into the Thruxton.

- Classic 1960's paint schemes
- Fitted double seat with rear cover
- Ace handle bars
- Bar end mirrors
- Twin instrument pods
- Iconic air-cooled parallel twin engine
- Moulded fuel injection
- Double overhead camshafts

Riding Position: Pure 1960s café racer but not at the expense of comfort, that's what the Thruxton is all about. So there's a sporty forward lean that makes you look the part. The footrests have been raised and set back to complement the bar position, so you are close to the bike and can really feel how the front end is performing. We’ve positioned the bar end mirrors to work best when you are tucked down and forward, providing a good view of the road behind around elbows and body. But none of this is so extreme that it spoils the feeling of versatility. You can still tour or commute on the Thruxton as well as take it for a sunny Sunday burn.
